Wonderfully Made!

DAY 20 (Read Day 1 “OK, Honey. Challenge Accepted!” Post)

Easel upright, He places a canvas of white, eager to design his colorful masterpiece. Hand poised, brush slanted, brilliant strokes emerge with beauty beyond imagination depicting reflection of His own strengths and character. Unlike most creators, a power is held to animate his creation with a breath, and so He does.

Arm extends and He lifts His treasure from the easel. Pleasure spreads across His face as He cherishes the spirited being before Him. Nothing imperfect, nothing flawed, only mirrored artistry.

Sadly, His wonderfully made work of art gazes in the mirror and sees defects as compared to other masterpieces He has made. “It’s colors appear more vibrant, more perfect, more pleasant,” we complain.

But in the eyes of the Maker, each were designed with unique markings to purposely differentiate between His amazing attributes and it’s disheartening to Him when they try to repaint themselves to appear like another.

You see, with each questioned stroke of brilliance, the Creator senses a rejection of Himself.

Psalm 139:14 “Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous–how well I know it.”
